So after the trauma of all business card quotes being in the region of 200 smackers, I decided to take matters into my own hand and do a spot of improvisation. Ordering a last minute die stamp for £15 with my guy at studiotone (specialist stamp makers in the east end) I legged it from bethnal green (literally - no number 8 buses for the 30minute window of me needing to get there..tfl, i hate you)

So what a nightmare of a day. I recieved news this week that I've been selected for the LCF 57 Carnaby St Exhibition which runs from 28th June - 14th July. This is obviously really exciting news, and I feel pleased and excited to be taking part. It has however been marred by LCF's decision to seriously cut the show capacity for students this year, resulting in less than half of all final year students from my footwear class

So have been madly trying to cast my wedges over the past week as well as try and pull together all of the presentation material. Today has been really exciting as I worked with the LCF digital studio and created an animation of my shoe construction from the CAD models. I can't believe how fast it was done and looks great! Just needs to finish rendering and then title sequence will be added in.

Just discovered the website shapeways which lets anyone create their own 3D model and even set up an online shop to sell their models...also has materials for 3D printing I didn't realise were possible..such as glass! Exciting times..

Just doing some more research into packaging and came across the Puma Fuse packaging promo video on business of fashion. Nice video which commicates what they've done really well and maintains a strong brand identity. Packaging also looks pretty cool. Not sure how many people would reuse the bag though. So the blog has been quiet of last as the past two weeks I had the absolute privelage to return to Y-3 at adidas and work with the team there on my prototypes.
